After working in early childhood education, specifically in Montessori environments, I am happy to offer support to new teachers as they start their journey and to experienced teachers who are looking for another set of eyes to help them evaluate their performance and guide their personal development as guides for young children.
I received my AMI diploma at Montessori Northwest in Oregon under the direction of Shannon Helfrich and Ginny Sackett, the current head of pedagogy with AMI International. I have worked in several environments ranging from my own home-based program, to schools with multiple classrooms at toddler, primary and elementary levels. I have worked primarily with children ages 0-6, and mostly with children ages 3-6 years old. I have revived classrooms that had slid away from authentic practice and worked to recreate and maintain beautiful, useful and organized environments that support maximum independence and autonomy for the children. I have also trained many adult assistant teachers and inspired several onto becoming Montessori teachers themselves.
While my area of expertise is Primary Montessori, I am well versed and experienced in ways that could uplift any early childhood program. I am happy to bring staff development in child development and best practices in preschool and kindergarten environments to your school or program.
